Regarding Gratuity - Gratuity Calculation

upto 10 L it is I.T.exempted. Companies can pay more also, no ceiling for pvt companies but 10L is the limit for Govt employees.

Both calculations will give you the same result. However, the second one will have more clarity about the logic to be used. This is the perfect calculation and you go on calculating with number of years (service) completed by the person.

Yes, what ever your years of service may be, the process (formula) remains the same subject to more than 5 years.
