Keeping Employee Records: What Essential Details Should I Include?

Good morning all, could you please attach the format for employees' details that I should have in my records? Thank you.

Employee Details Collection

Name, Date of Birth (DOB), Age, Sex, Marital Status, Family Details, Address (temporary, permanent), PAN Card, Passport Number, Previous Employment Details, Medical Record (any special remarks, including Blood Group - which is important), Emergency Contact Numbers.

You can collect all these details in an Excel sheet and keep it updated as per your needs. Hope this is sufficient.

In my company, we have 60 employees. I have the details on the software, and I also need it in an Excel sheet. Is it sufficient to have the information only on the software?

In addition to what Ravi said, include the qualification details, nominee details, etc. in a spreadsheet. You can create such a format; it is not a difficult task to create a spreadsheet.

Are you required to maintain a record of employees working in branches within your jurisdiction? Whether the disbursement of monthly salaries, leave records, sanction for annual increments, and the record of LTC/leave encashment are part of your duties, please specify your needs.
