Dear Seniors, can we combine EL with SL and CL?

In some companies, the unavailed CLs are credited to the EL account at the end of the year. SL is to be maintained separately. It all depends on the company policies. No hard and fast rule is available.

Clarification on Leave Policies

Casual Leave (CL) is only meant for emergencies and cannot be combined with Earned Leave (EL) and Sick Leave (SL). Sick Leave can be availed with Earned Leaves if supported by a Medical Certificate.

Leave Policies After Merger

Our organization (Dearler) has been merged with another dealer, with 65% control now belonging to the other dealer. Can anybody provide me with suggestions regarding the leave policies? For example, will the leaves of our employees lapse due to the new appointments in the other dealer, or is there another course of action we should consider?

I appreciate your kind response.

Thanks,
Raman

Dear advisors, we are growing and would like to implement the leave policy in our hotel industry. Please guide us on what the CL/PL or EL/SL are.

Refer to the Shops & Establishments Act of your state to understand the applicable leaves.

At the end of the year, unavailed CL are clubbed with the EL. If the accumulation of SL is over 40 days, it can be clubbed with the EL. However, it depends on the company's policy.
