Minimum wages contain only two attributes, i.e., basic salary and DA. You can only bifurcate minimum wages into these two components. Alternatively, you need to specify the whole amount of minimum wages as basic wages or basic salary, i.e., the amount on which the PF calculations have to be made.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Please find enclosed the Minimum Wages in Tamil Nadu with effect from October 2010 onwards. However, VDA will be revised from April 2011 onwards. Kindly review the data and inform me of the Schedule category your company falls under, so I can send the revised D.A. with effect from April 2011 onwards.
