How Do You Calculate Monthly Salaries: By Calendar Days or a Standard 30 Days?

Salary Distribution Based on Month Days

I was surprised to learn from a friend that an employee's salary is distributed over the entire month. For example, if an employee's salary is Rs. 15,000 per month, then in the month of May, the per-day salary will be divided by 31 days, resulting in Rs. 483 per day. However, in April, it will be divided by 30 days, resulting in Rs. 500 per day. STRANGE ???? A month's salary is always calculated over 30 days.

Do you distribute an employee's salary as per the month? 30/31/28 days

I was surprised to know when a friend told me that an employee's salary is distributed for the entire month. For example, if an employee's salary is Rs. 15,000 per month, then in the month of May, his per-day salary will be divided by 31 days = Rs. 483 per day, but in April, it will be divided by 30 days = Rs. 500 per day. STRANGE???? A month's salary is always 30 days.

Hi, it's correct to calculate like this:

No of days | Per Month | Per Day
Jan | 31 | 15000 | 483.87
Feb | 28 | 15000 | 535.71
March | 31 | 15000 | 483.87
April | 30 | 15000 | 500.00
May | 31 | 15000 | 483.87
June | 30 | 15000 | 500.00
July | 31 | 15000 | 483.87

For example, in the month of May, an employee is on leave for one day and there is no single paid leave. So how much will you pay him in May? 15000 * 30/31 is correct.
