Dear Abhay,
We are having 200 MT of LPG storage in 2 bullets of 100MT each.
Here are few informations:
Name:Propane / LPG
Location:Propane / LPG Storage Yard & associated transfer lines and equipment Fire:
Hazards:Pool Fire, Jet Fire, Flash Fire
Explosion:
Vapour Cloud Explosion(VCE), Boiling Liquid Expanding Vapour Explosion (BLEVE)
Precautions:
Propane / LPG Storage Yard & Transfer Lines
1. The pipeline is painted to prevent the corrosion and a visual inspection is carried out at regular intervals along the route of the pipeline.
2. Pressure indicators, Temperature Indicators, Safety Valves of adequate discharge capacity are provided.
3. The pressure regulators and the excess flow check valves are also provided at appropriate place to take care of pressure fluctuations and to prevent the infinite flow in case of bursting of the pipeline respectively.
4. In the burner section of furnace, LP gas detectors have been provided with Gas detection system to identify the leakage in the LP gas from supply system.
5. Active and passive fire protection system has been installed to deal with the possible fires in the Propane / LPG storage, Propane / LPG Pump house and LP gas Compressor.
6. Before start-up it has been ensure that separate feed lines for the starting gas and liquid fuels are used so as to avoid the dangers of migration of gas in to the liquid fuel system.
7. There exist a permit system to perform any Hot and / Cold work in the Propane / LPG storage area, Propane / LPG pumps, Compressors and transfer lines.
