Differentiating Salaries for Old vs. New Employees: How Should I Approach Management?

Hi guys, can anyone help me by providing insights regarding compensation and salary grades? I am planning to propose to management the idea of differentiating salaries between old employees and newly hired ones. Currently, both old and new employees receive the same salary and benefits. Thank you for the great reply. It enhances my understanding as well. I am working in a hospital where I need to present management with a proposal for compensation and salary grades because many of the long-term employees are expressing concerns about their salaries.

I have been searching for salary grades as I am assigned the task of grading the employees and also breaking down the salary components. Currently, my organization is paying the employees a lump sum salary amount without any segregation. Your compilation is very beneficial to me at this time.
