Differentiating Salaries for Old vs. New Employees: How Should I Approach Management?

Hi guys, can anyone help me by providing insights regarding compensation and salary grades? I am planning to propose to management the idea of differentiating salaries between old employees and newly hired ones. Currently, both old and new employees receive the same salary and benefits. I have been searching for salary grades as I am assigned the task of grading the employees and also breaking down the salary components. Currently, my organization is paying the employees a lump sum salary amount without any segregation. Your compilation is very beneficial to me at this time.
