Enhancing Job Portals for Recruiters: Key Features and Challenges

chiefsrinc
With job portals becoming increasingly popular, I was wondering what features/functionality recruiters would like to see to make these platforms more useful. Some thoughts:

1) Lower access costs
2) Faster method for posting new jobs
3) Quicker method for searching CVs
4) Mechanism to reduce the number of irrelevant CVs received
5) Capability to integrate with existing ATS/alternatives
6) Assistance in determining selection criteria (from experts attached to the portal)
7) Secured access forum that allows recruiters/employers to exchange ideas
etc. etc.

Please feel free to comment. Thanks in advance!

Hi,

There are many perspectives to consider when addressing the related query. Even though nowadays we are focused on achieving numbers, everybody desires to uphold the benchmark of quality and quantity. Speedy delivery along with quality has become a concern for every employee and organization.

While we primarily use job portals for job/resume searches, they also play a role in brand management. More than 10,000 new users join these job portals every day, with the most popular being accessed frequently.

When a recruiter or job seeker visits a portal, the constraints they often encounter are:
- User-friendly website, easy login – not too many passwords
- Brand value
- Relevant search – Keywords matching the end result
- Speedy search & post
- Easy license availability and renewal
- 24/7 online support
- Proper training and induction during the first access
- Low cost

The reason for listing cost at the bottom is that recruiters nowadays prioritize relevance, refinement, and speedy searches over cost considerations.

Thanks and regards,
