I am Sanjay Mehta, working with the solvent extraction unit since 2001, and my PF deduction is ongoing. However, I have not received any receipt to date. I would like to inquire about my PF balance and the status of my receipt. How can I obtain the receipt and check my balance? Please assist me if possible.

Dear Sanjay Mehta,

The employer is bound by law to provide the details of PF on a regular basis to each employee. You can do the following:

1. Ask verbally or in writing from the employer.
2. Seek the details from the concerned RPFC Office.
3. Make an RTI application addressed to the CPIO in the RPFC office for the details.
4. Recently, RPFC has given an interview to ET that PF accounts can soon be accessed online. The subscribers will only have to put in their account numbers and select their Regional Office to see the amounts in their accounts up to the last update.

Hopefully, you may not face problems after 2-3 months.
