Navigating PF Withdrawal After a Long Legal Battle: What Challenges Might Arise?

sbali1976
One of my acquaintances commenced her employment in 1972 but was illegally terminated in 1986. She filed a lawsuit, and after 25 years, the case is set to be settled next week. Both she and her employer have reached a settlement before the honorable court. The employer has agreed to process her PF forms as well.

My Concerns

1. Will the PF office accept the PF forms? Are there likely to be any hiccups in processing the forms by the PF department, considering there have been no contributions since 1986?

2. Will she be entitled to a pension? Should she fill out Form 10C?

3. Can the pension be withdrawn in a lump sum, or are periodical payments required?

I would be grateful if you could provide answers to the above concerns.

Thanks and regards.
