Increment After Resignation?

hr_babini
Hi...
I have different perception on this, there is no point in rewarding a resigned employee who is not on the roll of the Organisation on the date of grant of annual increment.

Yes, it is good practice to give him the increment for a month - it will go a long way in promoting goodwill and would result in positive feedback of your company not only of the leaving employee but also current employees.

Dear Biju,
I worked with Indian Bank in Dubai since 2011.As per bank standard our increment pay year April to any time. But our Bank policy to give increment payable month of sep or oct.
Apparently I resigned to my Bank month of sep'14. Am i eligible to get my increment from April'14 to sep'14.As well as my incentive and my airfare also not giving.
As per my knowledge if you you are resigning ,last salary drawn you will be entitle for this increment. This is correct, if not please let me know.
This is HR policy or some thing management decision or mid management decision.
I requesting you to help me out on this matter, its very appreciable.
Regards
Amit
