Hi,
The sector to start is totally depend on your interest. I would also like to know the stream of ur MBA. If its MBA in HR then there are much more chances of getting job as a recruiter as u r a fresher. But for freshers they don't offer much salary fresher recruiters. so if u could go in HR generalist profile would definitely help u in enhancing ur HR Skills.
You can post ur resumes in Job portals like Naukri.com, monsterindia.com, timesjobs.com etc. You can also poat ur resume to consultancies but I would suggest u not to expect much from consultancy bcoz firms hardly hire freshers from consultancy.
But yes consultancies can help u in getting jobs for Hotel Management field.
All the best.

Hello Gangadhar,
To add to what Manpreet Rai suggested, you can look for career opportunities in the Hospitality industry in HR function. That way, you can use BOTH your qualifications--Degree in Hotel Mgt & MBA in HR.
However, this could narrow down your opportunity-base. So you might have to be flexible to join in whichever domain you get the first job--first gather exp.

Thanking for your valuable suggestions....
Sir, as you said if i start my career from recruitment side, can i come back in to the core hr job in future??? if so will recruiters consider my experience in recruitment??

Hello Gangadhar,
That's a tough question to answer....since the answer is BOTH YES & NO.
As you know, any job selection is based on the competence in THAT area which the job role demands. So you will have to keep in touch with Core HR activities, even if you are into recruitment.
There are many HR professionals who have done that & now work in Core HR areas, by virtue of their PRACTICAL KNOWLEDGE in these areas--pl note that practical knowledge is VERY DIFFERENT from experience.
Experience USUALLY gives the knowledge, but it's not necessarily so for many, and knowledge does not necessarily come from experience alone.
All the Best.

TS

Hi Gangadhar,
I don't want to demotivate you. Yes there are chances that u start ur career in recruitment & after that u get a job in core HR also but people rarely get this kind of opportunities.. I am handling the core HR & now started in-house recruitment as well for my firm. As per my experience, i don't prefer a recruiter to handle the policies & payroll department, i would prefer to hire a core HR experienced person for this post.
This is how management thinks before hiring. As TS said, u should go to the hospitality industry to get the benefit of ur Both the degrees.
Best Wishes.
