How to Form a Safety Committee in a BPO

Can anyone help me with how to form a safety committee in a BPO? Additionally, how can we review the SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment) performance periodically?

You can divide your organization into small groups, assigning group numbers and appointing a group leader for each group. Additionally, a central safety committee can be established, comprising all group leaders and other members. It is advisable to create a formal Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) that outlines the function of the safety committee, its formation, duties, meeting frequency, Minutes of Meeting (MOM) format, etc. This approach will help streamline the process.

Did you get any help from the searching option on the site? I have gone through further regarding the BPOs and found the following information online:

"The main law or regulation that affects BPO companies in India is the Indian IT Act 2000. Other legal regulations that impact this sector include the Indian Penal Code Act, Consumer Protection Act 1986, Indian Contract Act 1972, Specific Relief Act 1963, Indian Copyright Act 2000, and the Product Patent Act 2005."

I don't think any of the above legalizations require the formation of a safety committee. However, if you wish, you can create one. According to the Factories Act, such a committee must have equal participation from workers and management, chaired by a top management executive with decision-making authority, even to halt operations.
