Hi all, My friend received an offer from a company. The company sent him an email with the subject "Offer letter," but the actual attachment had a subject "Employment letter" and also a "T&C of Employment" document. He signed the Employment letter as well as the T&C and sent them back to the company. There is still about a month before his scheduled joining date. Now, he is considering rejecting the offer. Before signing the documents, he made sure of the following things:
1. It's not a contract.
2. It's not a bond.
3. There is no mention of legal consequences if the offer is declined.
4. It is stated that the probation period begins from the date he starts his services, and that either party can terminate the employment agreement by giving notice.
He has not started working for the company nor received any property or material from them. Would it be appropriate to politely reject the offer with some valid reasons?
