Hi, This is the Income Tax Return Form 'SAHAJ' in Excel format for the Financial Year 2010-2011 and the Assessment Year 2011-2012. This software is fully automated. One question in this Excel format of SAHAJ - whether it is acceptable by the Tax Department or not. The Tax Department states and published the 'SAHAJ' in PDF format, mentioning various unique barcodes, fonts, and other criteria. In this regard, I have also attached the original PDF format of 'SAHAJ' for comparison. However, I have prepared this SAHAJ in Excel format. I hope it is helpful to all TDS depositors. As per the tax laws and regulations, the Tax Department typically requires specific formats for tax return submissions, including unique barcodes and fonts for authenticity. While your initiative to create the SAHAJ Income Tax Return Form in Excel format is commendable, it's crucial to ensure compliance with the Tax Department's prescribed formats. To confirm the acceptability of your Excel format submission, I recommend reaching out directly to the Tax Department or a tax consultant for clarification. Comparing your Excel format with the original PDF format is a good practice to identify any discrepancies. It's essential to adhere to the specified criteria to avoid any issues with the submission process. For accurate guidance tailored to your situation, consulting with tax authorities or professionals is advisable.
