We've done stuff like this at my company as well. Earlier this year, to celebrate a great 1st quarter, we all went and raced go-karts and bumper boats at a local amusement park. We coordinated the event with a company called Incentive Logic, and it was a huge success company-wide.

As a member of the HR department at work, one of the things I think a lot of us forget is that we don't have to reinvent the wheel when it comes to rewarding employees. Most employees will tell you that a day off is still a really great thing for them. Since we've been working with the group from Incentive Logic, we've been able to see the value in employee rewards beyond just monetary compensation.

Very good exercise that you mentioned. Though this would be possible only in large corporations where huge budgets can be allocated to such activities. Small organizations can, though, organize such events by getting some contributions from employees.

Not really, Avantika. You don't need huge budgets for this. What it does need is commitment in terms of time and, of course, some creativity in terms of how you want to show the messaging.
