Seeking Feedback on My Career Development Plan for Direct Marketing Staff in Bangalore

BHAVAN
Dear Friends,

I am in the process of finalizing CDP for my staff. Following is my approach:

a) Finalize the positions in the department
b) Identify the competencies required for each position
c) Competency Mapping - evaluate the existing competencies versus the required competency for the next level
d) Identify the gaps
e) Finalize training/developmental programs to close the gap
f) Organize the programs as per schedule
g) Evaluate the effectiveness of the programs - whether the employee has learned new inputs and whether it has been exhibited in work
h) Give a recommendation to management.

I am enclosing the competency chart for various levels in marketing positions as a sample. I would be glad to receive inputs/suggestions/feedback from my learned HR friends. (I am from the Direct Marketing Industry.)

Regards,

Steps to Develop a Career Development Plan for Staff:

🔸 Finalize the positions in the department to establish a clear organizational structure.

🔸 Identify the competencies required for each position by outlining the skills, knowledge, and abilities needed for success.

🔸 Conduct Competency Mapping to evaluate existing competencies against the requirements for the next level, highlighting areas that need development.

🔸 Identify the competency gaps that exist between current skill levels and future role requirements.

🔸 Finalize training and developmental programs tailored to bridge the identified competency gaps effectively.

🔸 Organize the programs according to a schedule that aligns with employee availability and business needs.

🔸 Evaluate the effectiveness of the programs by assessing whether employees have acquired new skills and behaviors and if they are being applied in their work.

🔸 Provide recommendations to management based on the outcomes of the training programs to support ongoing career development initiatives.

By following these steps, you can create a comprehensive Career Development Plan that aligns with your staff's growth and the organization's objectives.
