Good article, Dilip. Though it does not address how to build a learning environment. Many of us know that management always wants to have a learning culture; however, most of them never invest in building learning organizations. The organizations that do not inculcate learning face the great danger of perishing.

Management thinks it is an individual responsibility to learn and grow (during appraisals!). As Dale Carnegie said in his book "How To Stop Worrying And Start Living," "Learning can kill worries and lay the foundation for a beautiful future."
