Inquiry About Leave and Working Hours Under the Factories Act of 1948

I want to know about leave. How many kinds of leaves do we provide our employees as per the Factories Act of 1948? What is the procedure for these? How many hours can our workers work in a day, and what is the maximum overtime allowed in a month?

Thank you.

Hi all, we provide three types of leaves:

1. Casual leaves
2. Sick leaves
3. Earning leaves

According to the Factories Act, earning leaves should be 14 per annum. Some companies provide 1 earning leave for approximately 20 days. The remaining casual leaves and sick leaves are 8 and 7, respectively. Additionally, according to company standards, we provide these leaves.

If you find any mistakes, please point them out.

Thanks & regards,

First of all, let us know what type of industry you are in. Is the Factories Act applicable to you? How many employees are there?

I am working in the cement industry, and we are following the Factories Act. Here, more than 500 employees and workers are working.
