Confused About PF Withdrawal Process? Need Help Understanding SMS Updates and Tracking Funds

mohit.dhingra
Hello all, Hope everyone is doing well. My name is Mohit Dhingra, and I have served for more than 4 years with a multinational company. I wanted to withdraw my PF, so I filled out a PF withdrawal form and submitted it to HR around a month ago. Recently, I received two SMS messages on my mobile phone. The first one states that claim form 19 for PF settlement for member account - xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx (PF number) was received on 10.05.2011, and the claim ID - xxxxxxxxxxxxxx is currently under process. The second SMS mentions that Form 10C (withdrawal benefit/Scheme certificate) for account xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx was received on 10.05.2011, and claim ID xxxxxxxxxx is also under process.

Understanding PF Claim Status

I would greatly appreciate it if anyone could explain to me what this signifies. Is there an option or a website where I can check the amount and get an idea of when the money will be transferred to my account?

Thanks in advance and have a blessed day.

Regards,
Mohit Dhingra

SMS is a sort of acknowledgment that your forms have been received by the PF department and are under process.

PF amount goes to two different accounts, i.e., Provident Fund and Pension.

Form 10C stands for Employees' Pension Scheme and Form 19 for Employees' Provident Fund Scheme.

I worked at IBM-DAKSH BUSINESS PROCESS SERVICE PVT. LTD. in Kolkata. I have left that organization and now I do not have the PF account number, nor do I know the company's Establishment code number. How can I apply for PF?

There are two ways to get the PF amount. One is by applying for a return in the company where you worked. If the management is not willing to cooperate, you may proceed directly with the PF office; this is the second option. However, you can receive the PF amount perfectly if the company regularly pays the amount to the government into your account. Some state governments provide online PF balance enquiry services, but not all.

Thank you.

Normally, it takes 90 days. If not affected, send a letter to the Regional Provident Fund Commissioner of your jurisdiction.
