Shrikant Talawar
I want to decide on the leave policy in my company located in Maharashtra. It is a Food Processing Company. According to me:

- AL (Annual Leave) - 18
- SL (Sick Leave) - 6
- CL (Casual Leave) - 4

Is it okay? Please help me with this.

Please refer to Section 79 of the Factory Act, 1948 before announcing leave. If you still have any doubts, please contact us.

Dear Sir, I went through Section 79 of the Factories Act, but what about the rest of the leaves, such as Sick Leave (SL) and Casual Leave (CL)? How are they calculated?

According to the Factories Act, EL = 8 days, CL = 7 days, SL = 7 days.

Calculation of SL/CL/EL

Calculation of SL/CL/EL = (total CL/EL/SL for the year)
--------------------------------------------------------
x months remaining in the year
total number of months

According to the Factories Act, EL = 8 days, CL = 7 days, SL = 7 days.

Calculation of SL/CL/EL:

\[ \text{total CL/EL/SL for the year} \div \frac{\text{total number of months}}{\text{months remaining in the year}} \]
