Office Timings Change - Doc Download

Dear All,
Our organisation works in general shift and if required we ask our workers to work extra.
Presently management has decided to change the general shift timing from 9.30 am to 6pm to 9 to 5.30 pm. Consessus of all employees have been taken before introducing this change. My question is do these timings form part of model standing orders and do we need to notify abt the time change anywhere else???
With Regards,
Gayatri

Gayatri,
though its late to reply to u, but i wanna share the following with you..
yes you have to intimate this change in your operations timings to all your supporting functionality like vendors, external consultants. it is far better if you can paste your timings on the notice board.

If you have a certified standing order for your establishment, then you have to amend the relevant provision in the standing order following the due course of procedures required for an amendment. Model standing orders refer to a draft which can be adapted for the time being, say for six months from the date on which the Industrial Establishments (Standing Orders) Act becomes applicable to your establishment. Therefore, what is to be changed is the existing and certified standing orders. As all employees have agreed to the change, you can easily amend it. Moreover, a notice (before 21 days of such change) is required to be circulated of the change as change in office timing or shift timing or hours of work is regarded as a change in service conditions which requires notice as per section 9A of the Industrial Disputes Act.
