Struggling with ERP in HR? How to Align Processes and Reduce Manual Work in Manufacturing

puja_doshi
Hello Seniors, I am working on a project where the process of ERP usage by the HR department needs to be aligned. The organization does not have a clear policy on how the different verticals within HR (payroll, leave and attendance, etc.) should be using the central database, leading to the presence of stale data. Despite a significant investment in purchasing Oracle ERP, the organization's employee database is practically not useful at all. The simple reason is that different HR departments are not utilizing it to its full potential and are still relying on manual processes.

Could someone please enlighten me on how to align the process and instill discipline across the different HR departments?

P.S: It is a manufacturing organization.

Please help.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks and Regards,
Puja

Dear Puja, you have a solution from your mail only, as you mentioned that there are no proper policies.

Understanding MIS Reports

Firstly, you need to understand the various MIS reports required for your top management. According to your understanding, assign the same MIS reports to various sections in your HR department.

Informing HR Sections

Secondly, you need to inform the employees of the various sections within the HR department about their assigned MIS reports.

Creating a Flow Chart

Lastly, create a flow chart of the entire HR department. Then, prioritize training based on inputs.

Thank you.

Adding to my earlier email, I am enclosing the sample flow chart of the construction process of one department. Similarly, you can prepare a flow chart for your HR department. The implementation of ERP is very simple.
