Understanding EPF Advances: When Can You Access Funds and How Much Can You Withdraw?

EPF Advance Eligibility and Procedure

I want to know in which situation or condition we can get an advance from our EPF account. Please explain.

I also want to know how much amount we can take as an advance from our EPF account. Please also suggest the complete procedure to take an advance from the PF account.

Withdrawals:

For the purchase of a site for the construction of a house - Min 5 yrs in PF membership.

For the construction of a house - Min 5 yrs.

For the purchase of a flat - Min 5 yrs.

For additions/alterations to the house - Min 5 yrs.

Members can withdraw their share with the employer's share together with interest.

Advance:

For illness - stay in the hospital for a month - 6 months wages + DA.

For the marriage of son/daughter/sister/brother - min 7 yrs in membership - 50% of the member's own share.
