How Do I Show Non-Contributory Days in Form 3A When Salary Covers All Days?

gusha_08
Dear All, As our company is paying salary and PF for all the days in the month (including Sundays) for the staff, how can I show the non-contributory period or days in the Form 3A column?

Regards, Usha.

I am working as a manager in the company, but I want to know if we should deduct the PF on minimum wages or less than that. If the minimum wage is 6098, then what is the minimum basic we can set on the same amount?

Hi, As per the PF Act, the wage limit is Rs. 6500, and the minimum wages consisting of Basic + DA is up to Rs. 6500. In this case, you have to deduct PF on the minimum wages.

Non-contributory periods are those days on which the employee is on leave without wages or LOP. You have to track the LOP days in the financial year and record them in Form 3A. This data is also required when you submit the claim for the pension.

If somebody's wages are Rs. 7500.00, and he opts for the upper ceiling of Rs. 6500.00 for PF deduction, what should be done if, in any month, he is absent for 3 days and his basic wages stay at Rs. 6800.00 for that respective month? Do we have to deduct PF at the rate of Rs. 6500.00, or should we take a proportionate amount of Rs. 6500.00 based on attendance days, i.e., Rs. 6200.00? The same calculation applies in the case of pension fund deposition.
