Seeking Ideas for Organizing Employee Awards: How Do You Evaluate and Choose Categories?

I am organizing HR awards for the employees. Please help me in evaluating the employees (on what basis and parameter), and also, I want to know the types of awards such as Best Sales - Country, Best Employee of the year, Mr. Punctual, etc.
