Conducting birthday celebrations in an organization is one of the best ways of motivating employees as they will feel their uniqueness in the organization they work for.
Birthday Celebrations in Different Industries
Birthday celebrations will vary from industry to industry.
IT Sector Celebrations
In IT sectors, we will be sending emails to all employees with a photo of the employee and a designed page describing the employee and their achievements from that year. There will be a regular format (with possible changes in the color of the template for each employee) that will be followed. If there is a designing department in your organization, you could ask for a regular format to be sent as an email to maintain uniformity. Alternatively, if you have time and proficiency in Photoshop, you can create your own template.
If you are using images and pictures, make sure you are using copyright-free material. If cake cutting is done, it can be shared with team members at the end of the day, either during lunch or after the evening break.
Recognizing them with a small memento (if the budget allows).
Manufacturing Sector Celebrations
In manufacturing sectors, the designed templates can be posted on the notice board near canteens and on any one of the notice boards on the floor. You might also share a small sweet box with the employee, have a visit and wishes from the Manager or Assistant Manager, give a birthday gift, and make an announcement about the birthday in the canteen during lunch hour.
