Please help me determine the eligibility for gratuity. Date of Joining: 9th April 2007. Total Leave Taken: almost 60 days (including 10 days of Leave Without Pay). Could you kindly advise if I am not eligible for gratuity?

Thanks

It's a very useful calculation sheet. As per the Payment of Gratuity Act, the service period of 6 months is counted as one year, and less than 6 months is not taken into consideration. In the given sheet, the service period between 3 to 9 months is counted as half a year, and more than 9 months is counted as a full year. Can you please modify this and share it with the members?

Thanks and appreciate your efforts once again.

Yes, it's a good calculator for gratuity. But I have a simple question: If gratuity is deducted by the company in the CTC breakup, are we liable for gratuity before completing 5 years on the job? Or not, because the company deducted gratuity from our CTC salary?
