Tanker Checklist for Main Gate Entry

Herewith, I am attaching the Tanker checklist for Main Gate entry. I have prepared this for our chemical company, which has just started production. In the initial stages, it is relatively easy to begin something. However, as the business progresses, it may become challenging but still feasible.

Please make any necessary changes as per your requirements and provide your comments or suggestions to further improve the checklist.

Regards,
Shailesh

Dear Shailesh, you have made a very lengthy checklist which covers almost everything. What I will suggest, if possible, includes the following:

As these chemicals come in big tankers, you can ask the transporter to bring a copy of the Test Certificate of these tankers from a third-party competent person. However, in today's scenario, this is of no use. It's so easy to get a certificate if you give money. Therefore, you can conduct a thickness measurement test at your site itself using an ultrasonic thickness gauge. It is easy, and we are already doing it for the bowsers that come to our plant.

You can further add these two points to the existing checklist if you feel it is required. Nevertheless, your efforts in starting such checks in the vehicles are commendable. As time progresses, the system will surely stabilize.

Thank you.

Dear all, thank you for your comments, Dipil, you are right. As we are starting our new plant, here is what we have done:

1. We have contacted the transporters with their facility details and provided our demands to them.
2. Obtaining a third-party certificate is now easier with the required financial investment. We have requested the same from our competent person, whose certification is valid. For instance, two transporters have already been rejected.
3. In case of any issues, the competent person will be held accountable.

I hope you understand what I am trying to convey. The detailed checklists are stored in the SAP system, which is then electronically sent to the relevant parties.

Regards, Shailesh
