Overseas Compensation Policy Design
I need help designing the overseas compensation policy for our employees traveling abroad for short and long terms. I need assistance with the following:
1. How will we pay employees traveling for one month or longer? Will we pay them per diem, actual overseas accommodation costs, and their Indian salary?
2. For long-term assignments exceeding six months, what salary components will we provide for the periods spent in India and abroad? Will we continue to pay per diem, actual overseas accommodation costs, and the Indian salary for the extended duration, or will it be per diem and actual overseas accommodation only?
Please share the general company practices followed in this regard.
