Dear Minal,
Manufacturing sector or otherwise, the best known models of business performance are:
a) TATA Business Excellence Model
b) People Capability Maturity Model
c) DuPont Model
d) Baldrige Award
However, all the above are high-end models. If you fall under SME category, then better you follow simple Performance Management System (PMS) model. Let it stabilise in your company and then you can upscale yourself. However, to stabilise PMS, you would need five years at least.
Just yesterday, I conducted the the training programme on PMS. All the participants were from HR only. They were more than happy. You may talk to your management and propose them of arranging my training to all the managers. You would get more than what you need.

Unlike Dinesh Divekar, who has given you some answers, I ask some questions. What do you do and where (type and size of industry) and why are you seeking the information. How detailed a response one should give or not depends upon the scenario. Have you searched the web for competency models? For general questions like yours web is the best source.

I sincerely suggest you to hire services of Mr. Dinesh Divekar or any consultant who can educate you on the competency module for manufacturing sector. Since it contains confidential information like policies etc., it cannot be considered as a topic for general discussion.
