Recently i have joined in a manufacturing company as a HR, earlier in IT industry. here i have to work with statutory compliances.
What are the Statutory Compliances and Register should maintain under Tamilnadu Shops & Commercial Establishment Act.

for instance: Safety Act, Contract Act, Over time act etc.,

Dear Udayakumar,
Please note that there is no safety act or overtime act.
But in the Factories Act these Provisions are mentioned.

Please help me with a Quary,
i had recently purchased a Commercial shop wich have Floor Mill in it. (Chakki), This Floor mill (chakki) is not running properly, i am planning it to clear the shop and give it for rent.
My Question is:
1. What permission i need to take if want to run other business rather than my current business (Chakki) floor mill.
2. Normally i think i need to go for Gumasta Licence if i am doing other business.
3. If i am taking Gumasta lisence what abt my floor mill licence, is it going to cancell..pls help...Srini:9322405946 (Mumbai).
