Is there any law violation if Election Day holiday is compensated with another working day in the week? I have gone through the People Representation Act Sec 135B, but nowhere is it mentioned that compensating Election Day Holiday is illegal. Being an HR in a factory, I have to optimize the production, thus can it be done?
Also, will we pay paid holiday to our workers in the factory and compensate it with another day?
