APPOINTMENT & CONTRACT LETTER
We are writing to confirm our offer of employment and appointment to Mr. Subbiah Vivekanandan for the job position at St. Michel Hotel Quebec, Canada. This appointment is subject to your acceptance of this appointment & contract letter, along with the monthly salaries and conditions outlined within. The employment will commence from the date of signing this letter, making the applicant a member of the employer at St. Michel Hotel Quebec, Canada. On your first day, please report to Mrs. Marrey John at 8 am.
ALLOWANCES
- Monthly housing allowances: $1,500 USD.
- Monthly transportation allowances: $1,000 USD.
- Monthly medical allowances: $2,500 USD.
Set out below are the basic terms and conditions that will apply to your engagement. These terms and conditions should be read together with the contract agreement. As an applicant, you will agree to accept a two-year working contract.
You will need to contact our visa processing department, Zonal Tourist Coordinator, for the processing of the authorization approval letter, tourist visa, and other travel documents. This appointment & contract letter will govern your employment; we recommend that you acquaint yourself with these agreements if you have not already done so.
THIS IS THE HOTEL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. POSITION DESCRIPTION: The position description, which outlines your duties and other requirements of your employment, is part of this contract of engagement. Flexibility and teamwork are essential, and you may be asked to assist in other areas, vary your working times, or perform tasks consistent with your skills and abilities.
2. HOURS OF WORK: Your normal hours of work will be in accordance with the agreement terms and conditions. You may have 8 hours of night shift work and 8 hours of daytime shift or part-time work per day as agreed upon.
3. REMUNERATION: Your classification under the terms and conditions agreement will determine your normal hourly rate of remuneration.
4. PERIOD OF ENGAGEMENT: Your employment is ongoing and will continue for a period of two years, unless terminated earlier as per the agreement.
5. POLICIES AND PROCEDURES: The policies and procedures outlined in the handbook/manual will apply to your employment.
6. VARIATION TO TERMS AND CONDITIONS: Any variations to the terms of your employment must be mutually agreed upon in writing.
7. A hard copy of this appointment letter will be forwarded to the Canada Immigration office for processing of your traveling documents.
8. Upon arrival, you will undergo an interview. Failure to pass the interview will result in a two-week intensive training at St. Michel Hotel Quebec, Canada.
9. GENERAL: Your ideas, suggestions, and initiative are encouraged as we strive to improve our services and maintain a center of excellence.
