i have a general and very basic query about KRA n KPIs..
how KRA n KPI are decided in an IT industry?
whats the role of HR in that?
please enlighten on this topic as much as u can..

KPA & KPI's are decided by the Process Owners and not by the HR. If HR is a Process Owner of one particular area then HR would decide what is the KPA/KPI. During the Yearly good setting, KPA/KPI are set to the individuals/groups and the performance are done based on the KPA/KPI laid for the individual. At the time of Merit/Performance bonus/Promotion this KPA/KPI would become handly for the Process owners and when there is objection from HR these can be show cased to highlight about a individuals/groups performance.
There is no need for a HR to be communicated on the Process KPA/KPI.

Correct me on my understanding whether Recruitment would be a KRA & Timely recruiting the candidate within 15 days from the receipt of resign will be a KPI ?
