How do you see the difference between the roles and responsibilities of the HR department?

Hi, Alok.

A HR professional has to be a negotiator, a troubleshooter, and a shoulder to lean on when an employee is in trouble. They should also act as a ladder for career advancement. These can be considered as some of the roles of HR.

An HR professional is responsible for three main entities:

1. For the investors - By creating an organization in which an investor can achieve maximum return on investment.
2. For the top management - Helping the top management to experiment, adopt, analyze, and bring forth new ideas and methods without facing any resistance.
3. For the employees - By making them realize that by putting in their full effort, they will not only fulfill the organization's objectives but also their personal objectives.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

HR is responsible for the entire work of the organization. Everywhere HR is required to:

1. Accept and correct all mistakes.
2. Reduce the burden of top management.
3. Give assurance to workers on behalf of management.
4. If management does not fulfill commitments, be prepared to face criticism from the workers' side.
5. Please the people.
6. Stop attrition at any cost without financial implications.
7. If done well, it's the duty of the HR department.
8. If not done, then listen to why it was not done.
9. All burdens of the top management, middle management, junior management, have to be borne by HR personnel.
10. A thankless job of HR.
It is only funny things. Do not think of it negatively. Be positive - never negative. Provide support to all - this is the main function of HR.

Hi,

I think you have given me a wonderful reply. However, I was looking for the difference between the words that are:
1) Roles of HR Department
2) Responsibilities of HR Department.
