nandini_recruiter
Hi, can somebody tell me what the legal procedures are to start an HR consultancy (recruitment firm) in India?

Initial Investment

1) How much money would be spent initially?

Necessary Registrations and Licenses

2) What other registrations or licenses need to be obtained?

Additional Formalities

3) Are there any other formalities to consider?

First, you have to decide if you want to go with firm registration or Pvt. Ltd. If you want a firm, then go to the legal department (firm registration office) and register your company. If you are starting a firm in partnership, the partners must have a partnership deed. To get firm registration, you must have Firm Address Proof, like an Electricity Bill, Rental agreement, etc. Generally, an agent will charge Rs. 2500 to 3500. Then you have to apply for the company PAN card. If you have a high vision of turnover more than 10 Lakh, then you have to apply for a service tax number. The above are the basic things required to start the business. Hope the above information will help you to start the business.

The above information was very useful. Now we have got the company registered as a Private Limited. What is the next step? Are there any legal formalities that need to be taken care of when commencing our Recruitment Consultancy business under the registered company's name? Your feedback will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

My friend is already running a firm as a private limited company in translation. Is it right to go with him as a partner along with a partnership deed for HR consultancy services, or do I have to opt for a new registration of a partnership firm? Please guide me.
