Employer Refusing LTA Payment After Resignation: Any Solutions to Recover It?

One of my friend's CTC included an LTA amount. Generally, for tax planning purposes, the amount is paid upon completion of 2 years. However, my friend resigned after completing only 1 year and 9 months. Now, the employer is refusing to pay that amount. Is there any solution to retrieve that sum? Please advise.

Thank you for your valuable information. In this case, my friend cannot claim LTA as he has not completed two years of service in this employment. The employer is not making a payment to the extent of his LTA eligible amount in his CTC, even though it is taxable. What is the remedy now? Should we take any action against the employer to claim that amount?
