Hi Guys, I have opened a software company and have a staff of 25 people. My CA has suggested opening a PF for the employees, and they mentioned that we need to apply to the labor department first. Is it really compulsory for any software company to have a labor license? Please help me out.

Get registered under the concerned Shop & Commercial Establishment Act. Obtain a PF code from the PF department and start compliance; otherwise, it may result in high costs, with forced deposits for damages and interest on the accrued amount.
