Bonus Ceiling Amount

dear All,
We are manufacturing unit in gurgaon. We want to know what is the latest bonus ciling amount as we have to pay bonus to our employees for the year 2010-11.
We are paying 10000.00 (ten thousand ) maximum.
We have heard that bonus ceiling is 6500.00 is it correct or not

Dear member,
Unable to understand your above information. However, an employee drawing upto 10000/- p.m. is entitled to get minimum bonus @8.33% which is calculated on 3500/-(291.55 means rs.292 per month) and normally paid upto 20% which comes to an amount rs.8400/(700 per month.). Till today, i don't have any information regarding change or ceiling, if any of the members of forum has any different or new information, please share.

Earlier the minimum bonus ceiling was Maximum of Rs.3,500/- per year to be paid within completion of financial year i.e. March for the employees drawing salary / wages uo to Rs.6,500/- p.m. but from last year this ceiling was enhanced to salary / wages drawing up to Rs.10,000/- p.m. even if the company / firm do not have profit. The maximum is @ 20%. The time limit is 8 months i. e. 30th November hence you are already defaulted.
