Exploring "Universal Jesus": How Art Bridges Cultures and Faiths Through Color and Compassion

avalok
Hello, all,

Thank you for the compliments on my "Mother Teresa" painting. Here is another one of my works - This is called "Universal Jesus." I wanted to convey the fact that great teachers and wise men do not belong to one section of humanity alone. The rainbow colors of Jesus's mane represent the varied races, religions, and cultures that exist in this world. He is a guide to all of us. I have given His skin a neutral steel blue color to point out that He does not solely belong to whites, blacks, or people of color in this world. He simply was a "Universal Christ." I have striven to show His compassion shining through even at the excruciating moments of His crucifixion. Hope you like it....

Dear Avolok,

This one is really good. It surely does portray what you intended to. Truly a universal Christ.

Hi Avalok,

As I had earlier said, your painting should definitely be on display! I really liked it! But in my personal opinion, I liked the Mother Teresa painting more. Nonetheless, this is awesome.

Thanks,

Dear Avalok,

While this painting and your brief description helped me to understand Jesus a little more, I also felt that you, too, must be 'someone special'. Congratulations!

Hi,

Your painting is wonderful. You captured the emotions accurately. One could sense the pain that Jesus went through. Keep up the good work.
