I personally believe the goals should not be scientific; they should be reasonable. The goal-setting process should be more about the common sense of managers and employees.

The scientific goal-setting process usually leads to many goals that are not achievable, and the company can lose momentum.

Dear All,

There is a guideline for goal setting called SMART objectives:
- S - Specific
- M - Measurable
- A - Achievable
- R - Realistic
- T - Time-bound

Dear All,

DSVAP methodology, launched in 2011, helps in the next stage of goal setting, i.e., how to achieve goals and objectives in a unique way. Please find useful information on the CiteHR forum thread: [https://www.citehr.com/322396-dsvap-new-methodology-make-action-plan-business-goals-objectives-problems.html](https://www.citehr.com/322396-dsvap-new-methodology-make-action-plan-business-goals-objectives-problems.html)
