Third Party's Payroll

Dear seniors,
i want to know is here any drawbacks if job is based on third party's payroll or consultancy's payroll istead of company? In what condition one should join?what are the things need to be take care?

I also want to know as i am gettting a job in a gud manufacturing firm like Amul and Tata but because ,it was off roll i did not join.

I am currently employed on company payroll, and i have a offer with TCS on 3rd party payroll, i am confused if i should join the same or not, please advise.. :(

what are the chances of getting me into their payroll? and on what all factors does it really depend? as i am here permanent and i have 3 years of experience. is there any cons of this?

okk.. that means it doesn't really matter on what payroll we work.and one more doubt, will that impact any future job changes?

I had planned to join TCS on third party payroll, however could not make up my mind as its quite dicey situation. Moreover my current company is doing everything to retain me back. Now its all a big confusion so as to what needs to be done.
