I would suggest a simple way: Google it, and you will find a lot of exercises to develop these skills. Note down all these exercises and think about which ones would suit you the best, then start doing them. Along the way, try to develop a passion for it. When you develop the passion, everything will become easier. The only thing you need is patience to gain these skills, as they will take time and won't come all at once.

I was very bad in English a year ago. After following the aforementioned method, I could see a considerable improvement in my language skills.

We struggle with English because we learn grammar in school and are very conscious of using correct grammar while speaking. Forget about English grammar and try to speak it every day. Watch English movies with subtitles frame by frame. You will gain fluency by doing this. Try this.
