Understanding Medical Exemptions: What Bills Count for Tax Deductions?

dau80.g
Hi all,

During tax computation, I receive a medical exemption of Rs. 15,000 provided I submit medical bills up to Rs. 15,000. My question is, what type of medical expenses qualify as 'medical bills'?

1. Medical bills from a pharmacist
2. Bills indicating the consultation fee/charges of doctors
3. Surgery bills (dental, eye, or any other surgeries - not medicines)

Please let me know.

Thanks.

You can submit any of the above bills to claim tax exemption. In our company, we are considering the same kind of bills that you have mentioned.
