Procurement
The task is to procure all kinds of items such as light and heavy vehicle spare parts, tires, building hardware, hand tools, power tools, electricals, HVAC, generators, and various other products as per company procurement guidelines and requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Market research and procurement of required items.
• Ensuring the selection of the right vendors for the requested materials by the client, and ensuring correct and timely procurement of required materials.
• Preparing bids and proposals.
• Making recommendations for awards/creating purchase orders for local suppliers as well as international suppliers.
• Ensuring a complete understanding of bid requirements, scope of work, following pre-bid to clarify, make additions, deletions to quotations/proposals. Planning and conducting competitive negotiations.
• Resolving delivery problems and complaints, vendor disputes.
• Maintaining records on purchase price information on both open market and contract purchases.
• Outsourcing new suppliers for different commodities, maintaining a supplier database, and administering vendor performance to evaluate the best suppliers with respect to delivery performance, pricing, and quality of materials supplied, etc.
• Arranging freight for import of the shipment and processing customs clearance documents.
• Providing status reports to management on the overall sales/purchase of material.
• Representing the company at various community and/or business meetings to promote the company.
• Supervising and directing daily work to assigned staff.
• Meeting customers on our premises to discuss their requirements.
• Maintaining good relations with our customers and suppliers.
