Thank you for providing the message. Here is the revised version with the corrections:

Thanks a ton! I have been planning to relocate to Qatar, and this has been the best piece of information for me. Would you know what the scope of HR is for an Indian National there? What are the companies one should apply to since I assume some industries would prefer nationals? I have three years of experience as an HR Generalist (Assistant Manager) in one of the leading companies in India.

Thanks, Beena

Dear All,

@Shaik - I am not willing to contact anybody over the telephone. If you need any help from my side, please post here or send a personal message to me. Insha Allah, I will revert to you. Sorry...

@Beena - Nowadays, there are many HR openings in Qatar, including in my company. The Ministry of Labour has imposed some restrictions on Indian nationals' visas here.

@Farhan - I have the UAE labor law. I will update it soon.

Hi Beena,

Thank you for your message.

Could you please clarify what you mean by stringent on Indian national visa? Are you referring to the visa laws or the preference for nationals in HR roles traditionally?

I am currently working as a Generalist in the position of AM, and I am not familiar with the nature of the job there. What preparatory steps should I take, such as courses or general reading, before diving into this new role?

Your advice is much appreciated.

Best regards,
Jacky

Dear Beena,

I mean, as per the Qatar Ministry, there are a lot of Indian nationals working here. So, they impose restrictions for Indian visas. Job profiles depend on the companies.

You need to have thorough knowledge in HR activities, especially in Training & Development, Employee welfare & benefits, Salary & compensation, and performance appraisal systems.

I have a BE in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA in Marketing, with 7-8 years of experience. Currently, I am in Dubai working in Sales. Can anyone help me with the cost of living and the salary that I should ask for? It would be a great help.
