The new entrants of this beautiful profession should possess an ambassador attitude especially in dealings with the human element. The functional scope of any industry requirement haunts/screens for this type of attitudinal gentleman. One may have the notion in their minds, why is this attaché attitude compulsory for HR professionals? And why not for others? Everyone should possess this type of attitude to have win-win directions in their respective fields, but being in HR, the incumbent requires dealing with Recruitment, Relationship, Redressing grievances, Administrations, customer care, and many other tasks given by the management from time to time. HR is virtually being counted as one among the important circle of the top brass of any company. To understand the complex nature of human behavior, one has to equip themselves to know how to deal with various personalities of different styles. They have to inculcate a habit of assessing the introversion and extroversion of ego levels of an individual. It can only be possible through interactions. While interacting with individuals, the facial expressions, speech, voice levels during trust and distrust, body rhythms/movements of all gestures will give indicators to gauge the counterpart and form an opinion. HR's exposure in the industrial sector may sometimes require them to be arbitrators to sort out problems of misunderstandings that arise between employees and employers, and also in negotiations where they become the mouthpiece of the company for better representation. The mindset of an attaché enables one to have a positive thinking to overcome issues. One important advice to every new entry in HR should follow the basic model concept of OLSSI. OLSSI stands for Observe, Learn, Study, Strategy, and Implementation. This is the basic approach one should follow as per the face of the situation and problem to evolve a workable solution. It is an approach applicable in any field, but its implementation varies with the attaché attitude of an individual. The hints put forth in this article are only basics, and every HR professional is required to look into the arena for practicing, as these are essential for the long run in this profession.
