Choosing Between an MA in Psychology or a Diploma in Industrial Relations for a Bright HR Career?

Hi Great fraternity, I need your suggestion. I aspire to achieve the best career in the HR profession. Presently, I am working as a Recruiter in a consultancy after completing my MBA with an HR specialization.

My request to you is, what would be the best thing for me to pursue—an MA in Psychology or a Diploma in Industrial Relations? Please help make my future and career bright with your best advice.

An MA in Psychology will typically not benefit you for value-adding your JD in the HR spectrum. Typically, a PG degree in IR may help, depending on the course content and mode (distance vs. regular). You may approach institutes directly and ask for their profiles. Whichever, in the end, looks promising, go for it. As such, limited options are present in this country for IR. TISS is the main institute, and others follow.

Institutions Offering PG Diploma in Industrial Relations

Kota Open University (1987) offers a PG diploma in Industrial Relations (IR).

The Department of Business Management at Punjabi University, Patiala-147002, offers a PG diploma in IR through a distance learning mode.

The Institute of Correspondence Courses at Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati-517502, also offers a PG course in IR.
