How Do You Calculate Fair Reimbursement Rates for Travel with Changing Petrol Prices?

Dear All,

I work for a construction company where a lot of staff are entitled to reimbursement of conveyance based on their official travel between different local sites. Due to the frequent changes in petrol prices, we need to revise the reimbursement rates as well. I kindly request all of you to share some formulas or criteria on how to calculate the correct reimbursement rate per kilometer for two-wheelers and four-wheelers.

I am an accountant in a company. I want to know how to calculate local conveyance for an increased rate with the new petrol rate for bikes and cars.

Dear Sirs,

You can classify the petrol conveyance by grade as follows:
- Rs. 7/km if the rate is Rs. 80 to 90/ltr
- Rs. 6/km if the rate is Rs. 60 to 79/ltr
- Etc.
